Today was fabulous, the pool looks spectacular thanks to the very hard working team of people, from friends to officials, coaches and swimmers, and it opened the way for the swimmers to perform at their best. Zimbabwe earned a silver medal from Chad Idensohn in the 100m free, a bronze from James Lawson in the 50m breaststroke. The boys relay team won a silver for the 4 x 100m free relay and the Mixed relay slipped into third place at the final meter.
Day 2 sees the Girls 100m free, the boys 200m free, the ladies 50 breast and mens 100m breast. The ladies will then do 100 back and the men the 100 fly. We will finish with the mixed 4 x 100 free relay.
Crowds were fantastic with support but we do not have the capacity to absorb all the wonderful people who turned up to watch, sadly turning away a huge number of people.
