Young swimmers in Zimbabwe have several goals for 2017, for the older and more experienced Age group swimmers Junior World Championships are a definite goal.  These will be held in Indianapolis in August this year, to date 2 swimmers have made the qualifying criteria announced by the Zimbabwean Swimming Board of Control.  Congratulations to Liam O Hara and Chase Onorati.  The next goal is to qualify to attend the South African Junior National Championships to be held in Durban mid March this year.  To date 20 swimmers have already qualified which is an improvement on last year, but we are confident that a few more will make these times in February.  The majority of our swimmers are hoping to be chosen to represent Zimbabwe at the upcoming CANA Zone IV Swimming and Waterpolo Championships being held in Bulawayo from the 16 – 19th February 2017.  From that meet many of our swimmers will head off to the Level 2 and Level 3 gala in Gauteng.  There are so many opportunities for our young swimmers this year – door opening to a world of international and regional exposure!
